Raised-Bed Garden Boxes

Forget row gardening!  Raised-bed garden boxes are a simple, pain free, and aesthetically pleasing way to grow your own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers without ever needing to till up your existing soil or use petroleum-based fertilizers.

When you have a garden box installed by Geo Patio, you will be ready to start planting that day.  All you’ll need to do is plant, water, and harvest.  After harvesting, the soil is easily replenished by adding a scoop of all-natural compost.

Garden boxes can be located anywhere you wish, whether that be near your patio, rain barrel, or elsewhere in your yard.  There is no longer a need to dig up a large swath of land in the remote corners of your yard to support a row garden. 

In each garden box, Geo Patio will include the ideal soil mix for this type of gardening.  This mix includes peat moss, vermiculite, and compost.  These three elements in the correct proportions provide an ideal growing medium.  You will be amazed at the bounty you will harvest from such a small area and so little work.

Geo Patio recommends the book, All New Square Foot Gardening, for more information on ways to get the most out of your raised-bed garden boxes.  This book lays out a method by which boxes are divided into square foot sections.  It then instructs you on how many of each type of plant can be planted in each square foot section.  For instance, in each square foot section you could plant 1 tomato plant, 4 heads of lettuce, or even 16 carrots.  In each 4x4 garden box, you will have 16 square foot sections to work with!  Geo Patio will install the grid at no extra cost.
